Quetta, Dec 20 (NationPress) The troubling trend of enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces in Balochistan shows no signs of abating, with another incident reported recently.
On the night of December 17, Noor Bakhsh was allegedly abducted by personnel from Pakistan's Frontier Corps in Turbat, located in the Kech district, as reported by the Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ), a prominent human rights organization.
The BVJ has claimed that Noor was detained without any legal justification, and his subsequent disappearance, along with the secrecy surrounding his location, contravenes international human rights standards, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
The BVJ has urged Pakistani authorities to promptly reveal his whereabouts and guarantee his safety.
In a related development, the BVJ condemned the enforced disappearance of two brothers, Meer Ashraf and Meer Shahid, on December 17 from their residence in the Shadi Kour area of Pasni in Gwadar District, perpetrated by Pakistani security forces.

The women-led organization pointed out that the trend of enforced disappearances of Baloch women began with Mahjabeen Baloch's abduction from Quetta's civil hospital on May 29, followed by Nasreena Baloch on November 22 from Hub Chowki, Farzana Zehri from Khuzdar on December 1, and Rahima Rahim from Dalbandin on December 9.
The most recent case involves Hazira Baloch, who was forcibly abducted from Hub Chowki on December 18.
