Mumbai, October 27 (NationPress) Actor Nikitin Dheer recently shared a heartfelt condolence letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed to his late father, Pankaj Dheer, via his social media platform.

In a post featuring an image of the letter from the Prime Minister's Office, Nikitin expressed gratitude by writing, “श्री प्रधान मंत्री जी, आपने शब्दों से मेरे पिता को सम्मानित करने के लिए धन्यवाद @narendramodi (Respected Prime Minister, thank you for honouring my father with your words. @narendramodi).”

Days prior, he took to social media to express his emotions following his father's passing.

The actor had remained relatively silent on social media regarding his feelings.

During the funeral of Pankaj Dheer, Nikitin exhibited remarkable strength while fulfilling his role as a son.

He shared, “I am not the best at expressing my feelings.. But I shall try.. It’s said, the only certainty in life is death. We all acknowledge it, yet when one loses someone integral to their being, numerous questions surface.”

He reflected, “On October 15, 2025, I lost my Dad, my Guru, my best friend.. Shri Pankaj Dheer.. He had been unwell for a while, and it left our family shattered.”

“After his departure, we were inundated with countless messages... younger individuals sent prayers, elders conveyed blessings, and friends and colleagues showered us with love. The respect shown towards my father was beyond mere words, and I was not in the right state of mind to respond.”

Nikitin added, “As days went by and I witnessed the continuous flow of love for him, I recognized that life is not about material possessions but about love, blessings, and respect—elements that are intangible yet eternal. My father will carry these into the afterlife.”

Expressing immense pride in his father, he stated, “Today, I feel prouder than ever to be his son. He was the ideal father a boy could wish for, teaching me about grit, character, loyalty, and perseverance. The life lessons he imparted will guide me as long as I breathe. The diverse music he introduced me to, his love for cinema—what he called 'Cine माँ'—and the legacy of love and respect for our industry are invaluable.”

Nikitin pledged to honor his father’s memory, writing, “I promise to undertake my personal and professional responsibilities as an actor and human being to make my father proud.”

He extended his gratitude to his father’s well-wishers, stating, “I wish to thank each of you for the love and respect you have shown him... This video is a tribute to all who loved and adored him. We are especially grateful to HH Swami Chidanand Shastri ji who assisted us with Dad's asthi visarjan and pooja at Parmarth Aashram... आप सभी को हमारे पूरे परिवार की ओर से हाथ जोड़कर आभार जय माँ गंगे हर हर महादेव #harharmahadev.”

For those unaware, Pankaj Dheer passed away on October 15, due to cancer.
