Mumbai, June 23 (NationPress) Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is preparing for the debut of her forthcoming film ‘Heads of State’, unexpectedly walked into a cleverly devised prank orchestrated by her co-stars John Cena and Idris Elba on the inaugural day of filming.
Initially, the actress believed she was making a friendly gesture to lighten the mood, only to become the target of a well-executed joke by her colleagues. Reflecting on the incident, she shared, “During our first scene together, I thought I’d break the ice and approach them, thinking, I’ll just act like I don’t see you.”
She continued, “I suspect they were in cahoots when I approached them, and as I did, John and Idris were standing close. I felt like I had upset one of them. Idris then chimed in, saying, ‘Don’t say that. He hates when people do that,’ and they were clearly having fun at my expense. This certainly helped to break the ice.”
The film unfolds amidst a backdrop of political unrest and international peril, marking Priyanka’s return to action-oriented roles. In ‘Heads of State’, she portrays Noel Bisset, a top MI6 agent tasked with safeguarding two prominent global leaders—Will Derringer, the President of the United States, and Sam Clarke, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, played by John Cena and Idris Elba, respectively.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film also features Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles. This action-comedy is filled with high-stakes moments, political intrigue, and humorous twists.
Scheduled for release on July 2 on Prime Video, the film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
