Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday, 11 May walked through the lanes of Kadel village in Ajmer district during his morning walk, meeting residents at their doorsteps in what officials described as an exercise in participatory governance. The visit followed an engagement with villagers at the Gram Chaupal on Sunday night, making it a back-to-back outreach across two days.

Responding to residents' requests, Chief Minister Sharma announced the upgradation of the village's Primary Health Centre into a Community Health Centre — a significant boost to rural healthcare access. He also directed officials to operate additional buses to improve transport connectivity and instructed them to facilitate construction of a boundary wall for the girls' school. On revenue matters, he ordered the organisation of special camps for the timely, transparent, and quality disposal of pending revenue disputes, stressing that prompt relief to citizens remains among the state government's highest priorities.

Grassroots Interactions and Feedback

During the morning walk, the Chief Minister sought blessings from elders and engaged with women, farmers, livestock rearers, youth, fruit and vegetable vendors, and sanitation workers. He gathered on-ground feedback on the implementation of state welfare schemes and listened to concerns raised by residents. He also interacted with children, inquired about their studies, and distributed chocolates among them. Later, he sat with villagers over tea for informal discussions on village development, agriculture, education, and everyday issues.

Focus on Agriculture and Water Conservation

In discussions with farmers, Sharma spoke in detail about local agricultural produce, including roses, Amla (Indian gooseberry), Leswa (Gunda), Jamun (black plum), and onions, as well as traditional farming practices. He encouraged farmers to adopt scientific and innovation-driven agricultural methods, emphasising that advanced techniques and water conservation efforts can significantly improve both production and income. He stated that the state government is working with sensitivity, commitment, and accountability for the holistic development of farmers and rural communities.

Temple Visit and Officials Present

The Chief Minister also visited the village's ancient Lord Sheshnag Temple, where he offered prayers for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state, and interacted with devotees present at the temple premises. Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, other public representatives, administrative officials, and a large number of villagers were present during the visit. Officials were directed to ensure swift resolution of all demands and concerns raised by residents.

The visit signals the Rajasthan government's intent to sustain direct engagement with rural constituencies ahead of ongoing development programme reviews.
