Jaipur, June 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, emphasized the state government's firm dedication to the welfare and comprehensive development of Scheduled Tribes and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) areas during a meeting on Friday.
He highlighted the crucial role of the Rajasthan Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council in ensuring the efficient execution of significant schemes from both the central and state governments.
While presiding over the council meeting organized by the Tribal Area Development Department at his residence, CM Sharma urged public representatives to actively participate in the ongoing Dharti Aaba Jan-Bhagidari Abhiyan, which runs from June 15 to 30 in celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Sharma instructed officials to promptly address the pending individual and community claims under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, and to issue rights certificates without any delays.
He directed that projects approved under the Tribal Area Development Department must be executed in a timely manner, ensuring quality.
Moreover, he stressed the importance of completing all initiatives announced in the 2024–25 budget promptly and to accelerate the implementation of the 2025–26 budget announcements.
He also called for the timely distribution of scholarships for students via the School Education, Social Justice and Empowerment, and Higher Education Departments.
Additionally, Sharma urged departments to expedite progress in Water Resources projects and initiatives by the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments. He emphasized the need for quality construction in road projects and effective execution of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Furthermore, he directed authorities to ensure timely electricity connections in tribal regions. Sharma called for focused implementation of central government initiatives, especially the Prime Minister TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, ensuring patient identification and treatment assistance in TSP areas.
He urged officials to expedite work approved under PM-Janman and guarantee that 100 percent of benefits reach tribal families through initiatives like the Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of enhancing tribal livelihoods through the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana.
He requested public representatives to engage actively in the upcoming Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Pakhwada, starting June 24, to ensure welfare schemes reach the needy effectively.
Moreover, he instructed officials to uphold high standards of food and nutrition at Maa-Baadi centers and to conduct regular inspections of residential schools and hostels in TSP regions.
The swift distribution of mini seed kits must be ensured, he added. Present at the meeting were Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharari, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, and other notable officials.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, along with Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and senior officials from various departments, also attended the meeting.
