Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took part in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State Dr Sukanta Majumdar, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, and BJP MLAs Kapil Mishra and Satish Upadhyay were present at the ceremonial initiation organized by the Shriram Dharmik Ramleela Samiti.
During his address, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra stated: “It’s wonderful… Today, the Ramleela flags are being hoisted, and the festive season is about to commence. This is more than just a tradition; it’s a celebration of our culture and our devotion to Lord Ram.”
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, also in attendance, conveyed her regards to the Ramleela organizers throughout Delhi, saying: “Today, numerous Bhoomi Pujan ceremonies for Ramleela are taking place. I extend my greetings to all Ramleela committees dedicated to preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage.”
The Ramleela festivities are a crucial aspect of Delhi's cultural landscape, attracting millions of spectators annually. These ceremonies not only depict scenes from the Ramayana but also nurture a sense of community, faith, and tradition.
Earlier, Bansuri Swaraj, Satish Upadhyay, and BJP leader Shikha Rai joined party workers in Greater Kailash to listen to the 125th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat'.
Reflecting on the program, Swaraj remarked, “Mann Ki Baat is a very uplifting program. You’ve likely observed that Shri Narendra Modi is a leader deeply connected with the youth. For instance, today he emphasized the Fit India and Khelo India initiatives and shared inspiring stories of Rashmita Sahoo from Odisha and Mohsin Ali from Kashmir, two young gold medalists.”
With the hoisting of the Ramleela flags and the chanting of prayers during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremonies, Delhi is poised to welcome the festive season with both devotion and grandeur.
