Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor was spotted at Mumbai airport on Tuesday night, 22 July, visibly struggling with an eye condition as he politely urged paparazzi to stop directing bright camera flashes at his face. The actor, who reportedly contracted conjunctivitis from his daughter Raha, was seen making his way through the terminal while shielding his eyes from the relentless flashlights.

What Happened at the Airport

Dressed in an all-black ensemble — a black jacket over a black T-shirt, matching trousers, dark sunglasses, and a thick beard — Ranbir briefly paused to exchange a few light-hearted words with the photographers despite his evident discomfort. As flashes continued to go off, he told the assembled paparazzi, 'Kuch dikh nahi raha hai' ('I can't see anything').

When a paparazzo asked him to stay back for a few more shots, Ranbir responded with characteristic humour: 'Rukke kya karu bhai?' ('What do I do just by waiting, brother?'). He was then seen covering his eyes before proceeding into the terminal.

The Conjunctivitis Connection

According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor contracted the eye infection from his young daughter Raha, who had reportedly been diagnosed with conjunctivitis a few days earlier. Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye, is a highly contagious infection of the outer membrane of the eye and is frequently transmitted within households, particularly from young children to adults.

Yash Also Spotted the Same Night

Notably, Kannada superstar Yash was also seen arriving at Mumbai airport the same evening. Sporting a rugged casual look with a dark jacket, T-shirt, trousers, and tinted sunglasses, Yash walked into the terminal while greeting the waiting photographers from a distance.

Ramayana: The Film That Unites Them

The simultaneous airport sightings have drawn attention because both actors are set to share the screen in director Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated mythological epic 'Ramayana'. Ranbir essays the role of Lord Ram while Yash plays the antagonist Ravana in the ambitious two-part adaptation.

The film's ensemble cast also includes Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and Kajal Agarwal as Mandodari. The film's trailer was unveiled recently at a grand launch event in Delhi.

With 'Ramayana' shaping up as one of Bollywood's most ambitious productions, all eyes — including Ranbir's, health permitting — will be on the project in the months ahead.
