Chennai, July 17 (NationPress) Director Phanindra Narsetti shared that his film 8 Vasantalu, starring Anantika Sunilkumar in the lead role, continues to draw nearly full crowds in theaters, even post its OTT release. He revealed that he has been inundated with messages from viewers who, after enjoying the film on OTT, expressed their disappointment about not experiencing it in theaters.

In an extensive post on his Instagram account, he stated, "REGRET. That’s the sentiment I’ve been seeing in the thousands of messages filling my Inbox. Many viewers are lamenting their decision to skip watching 8 Vasantalu in theaters."

While acknowledging that audiences may have had various reasons (such as limited theater availability, time constraints, negative reviews, or lack of awareness about the film) for missing the theatrical experience, he noted that these same viewers now wish they had chosen to see it on the big screen after watching it at home.

"Even after its OTT launch on July 11th, the film is still playing daily to near-full houses at PVR Nexus, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. So, for those in Hyderabad who believed they missed the theatrical experience, you can still bring your loved ones, parents, children, friends, and family to savor the magic on the big screen in Dolby Atmos—a moment you will cherish forever. I believe that watching a film on OTT is like seeing a reflection of a Sunrise/Sunset in a mirror. In contrast, watching it in theaters is akin to standing right in front of that beautiful Sunrise/Sunset and absorbing it into your soul," he expressed.

He emphasized that the cinema hall possesses an incredible visceral power that engages all of one’s senses in ways that are truly beyond imagination.

"It is you, the audience, who have been reaching out to me, saying that films like this don’t come along often or that it has been ages since you felt such profound emotions in a film. So why not take some time this weekend to treat yourself and your loved ones to an unforgettable experience? Better Late than Never."

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, 8 Vasantalu also features Hanu Reddy, Ravitheja Duggirala, Sanjana, Kanna, Swaraj Rebbapragada, and Sameera Kishore among others.

The film’s dialogues are penned by Phanindra Narsetti, with cinematography by Vishwanath Reddy and a moving score by Hesham Abdul Wahab. The production design is by Aravind Mule and the editing by Shashank Mali.
