Mumbai, Jan 30 (NationPress) Actress Richa Chadha, in her inaugural post for 2025, reflected on her 2011 dream journal, where one of her significant aspirations was to convince Sanjay Bhansali to cast her.
Looking back at her journey, she expressed how this wish became a reality when she portrayed Lajjo under Bhansali’s direction in Heeramandi, successfully ticking that dream off her list. On Thursday, Richa took to her Instagram and shared a few images featuring herself, actor husband Ali Fazal, and their newborn baby.
Along with the photos, the actress composed a heartfelt note discussing her personal milestones, expressing her delight at welcoming a beautiful daughter and producing her debut film under the label of Girls Will Be Girls.
Chadha stated, “This is my first post of 2025. I was journaling yesterday (yes, I used the same journal from 2011, the year before Gangs of Wasseypur was released, which put me on the map), and as you can see, one of my dreams... is recorded in the list. To convince Sanjay Bhansali to cast me. What a year it has been, from performing as Lajjo with the maestro and checking that off my dream list... to welcoming a beautiful daughter and our first film as producers! @girlswillbegirls_themovie!!!”
“I’m thrilled to have been nominated, but never in my wildest dreams did I think our little indie would be recognized alongside my acting... this signifies our film has surpassed the (not real) barriers of arthouse and made it to @IIFA nominations! For that, I am grateful to @primevideoin
Thank you, @iifa @bhansaliproductions. Congratulations #ShuchiTalati, she’s not on Instagram, folks. Congratulations, @preetiwooman, keep moving forward! I’m so proud of you! Second to last video- fruit of my loins, last image- my heart and the apple of my eye!!! @alifazal9 Keep dreaming, because dreams do come true,” the post further elaborated.
Regarding her professional endeavors, Richa's latest role was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
