Additionally, filmmaker Kabir Khan celebrated the 13-year anniversary of his collaboration with Salman on the film “Ek Tha Tiger” on this day.
Kabir shared a poster from the 2012 action film on his official Instagram, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes photos.
Reflecting on this milestone, he wrote: "Tiger… Tiger… Tiger… Thirteen years ago, Ek Tha Tiger with the megastars @beingsalmankhan and @katrinakaif roared into cinemas with the biggest opening in Indian cinema at that time, becoming not just a blockbuster romance-thriller but the catalyst for the now-famous YRF Spyverse."
He further noted that what began as a simple narrative of two spies caught between duty and romance has blossomed into a "sprawling cinematic universe, intertwining high-octane action, global intrigue, and deeply human emotions."
“I will always be grateful to Aditya Chopra for providing me with a vast platform, aiming for Ek Tha Tiger to set a new standard in Hindi cinema, demonstrating that Indian storytelling could harmonize scale, style, and soul on an international stage. I’m thrilled that I could deliver,” the director remarked.
Kabir also highlighted that what distinguishes "Ek Tha Tiger" is the achievement of delivering high-level action without relying heavily on VFX.
