Mumbai, Aug 15 (NationPress) Filmmaker Kabir Khan has marked the 13th anniversary of his film “Ek Tha Tiger”, which was his inaugural collaboration with Bollywood icon Salman Khan, resulting in films that he will cherish forever.

On Instagram, Kabir posted the film's poster, which debuted in 2012. He also shared a collection of behind-the-scenes stills and never-before-seen images from the film's set, which narrates the story of an Indian intelligence agent, codenamed Tiger, dispatched to Dublin to track a professor suspected of leaking nuclear secrets to Pakistan.

In his caption, Kabir expressed, “Tiger… Tiger… Tiger… Thirteen years ago, Ek Tha Tiger with the megastars @beingsalmankhan and @katrinakaif roared into theaters, achieving the biggest opening in Indian cinema at that time. It was not just a blockbuster romance-thriller but also the catalyst for what would evolve into the renowned YRF Spyverse.”

He noted that what started as a tale of two spies grappling with duty and love has developed into an expansive cinematic universe, “interweaving high-octane action, global intrigue, and profoundly human emotions.”

“I will always be thankful to Aditya Chopra, who provided me a substantial platform as he envisioned Ek Tha Tiger to be a genre-defining leap for Hindi cinema, showcasing that Indian storytelling could harmonize scale, style, and soul on a global stage. I’m thrilled that I managed to deliver that,” he added.

Kabir elaborated on what makes Ek Tha Tiger distinctive, stating that it “is remarkable for our ability to execute that level of action without significant VFX assistance.”
