In a candid conversation with IANS, the 'Maharaj' actress expressed that she feels exceptionally at ease in front of the camera.

When asked, "Do you believe your talent is innate, or is it something you've cultivated?"

Shalini responded, stating that she feels most secure and at ease when she embodies a different character.

"I can’t say if it’s an inherent talent or not, but I always aspired to be an actor. I feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, particularly when I'm portraying another character—not as Shalini, but when I'm given lines and must transform into someone else. That’s when I feel my utmost comfort and security. Perhaps that’s why it seems natural; acting has consistently been my sanctuary," shared the 'Dabba Cartel' star.

Shalini, who made a compelling acting debut with the hit film “Arjun Reddy,” alongside Vijay Deverakonda, reflected on how the film marked a significant milestone in her career.

Looking back on the overwhelming success of her debut project, Shalini noted that “Arjun Reddy” not only catapulted her into the spotlight but also provided her with essential validation and confidence as an actress to explore a variety of roles.

She remarked to IANS, “When Arjun Reddy was in production, we were all newcomers. It was our inaugural film, and our primary goal was to deliver quality work together. Once it premiered and received such an outpouring of affection, rather than feeling pressured, it validated my journey as an actor. I had long dreamed of becoming an actor, and suddenly I was being embraced for it. That affirmation was crucial. At that moment, I was so inexperienced that I didn’t even comprehend how to handle pressure. I was merely relishing everything, hoping my future work would receive similar affection. That was my priority during and after Arjun Reddy.”
