In a collection of snapshots released by her daughter, actress Soha Ali Khan, on social media, Sharmila is seen reveling in the company of Soha, her star son Saif Ali Khan, as well as various family and friends.

Soha's post read, “My amma on her birthday – missed you, Apa @sabapataudi.” She highlighted the absence of her older sister Saba during the celebration. Sara Ali Khan, the granddaughter of Sharmila Tagore, was also present to celebrate her grandmother’s momentous occasion. Earlier that day, Sara extended birthday wishes to Sharmila with a lovely photo on her own social media platform.

Sara expressed her heartfelt wishes, saying, "Happiest birthday to the Chanda and Suraj of our family (two hearts, love hands, and full moon face emojis). In the videos shared by Soha, the birthday star was seen happily cutting her cake, though her daughter-in-law, Bollywood sensation Kareena Kapoor Khan, was noticeably absent.

However, earlier that day, Kareena had posted a touching set of images for her mother-in-law, Sharmila, on her birthday. She wrote, “Happy birthday, dearest mother-in-law.” The first photo featured Saif Ali Khan with his mother, Sharmila Tagore, holding little Jeh. The following image showed Kareena walking with Sharmila, captioned, “Always trying to follow in your footsteps.”

The final touching photo showcases Sharmila Tagore playing with her grandson Jeh in a park. With an illustrious career spanning over 50 years, Sharmila Tagore made her Bollywood debut in the blockbuster Kashmir Ki Kali alongside the legendary Shammi Kapoor. She has since dominated the industry with classic films like Amar Prem, Aradhana, and Chupke Chupke.
