Mysuru, June 30 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, when questioned about supposed tensions with Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress President D. K. Shivakumar, confidently stated that there are no issues between them.
During a media interaction at Mysuru airport, the Chief Minister emphasized that the Congress-led administration in the state will stand as firm as a "bande" (rock) throughout its entire five-year tenure. The term "bande" is commonly employed in local political discussions and media to refer to Shivakumar.
Shivakumar, who was present alongside others, smiled in acknowledgment of the remark.
When asked if he has a good relationship with Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah responded, "Yes, we are on good terms." He then took Shivakumar’s hand and raised it, highlighting their unity.
"D.K. Shivakumar and I are united without any differences, no matter what others might claim," Siddaramaiah stated firmly.
When questioned about attempts to sow discord between them, CM Siddaramaiah asserted that they would ignore such provocations.
Holding Shivakumar's hand, he reiterated: "There are no differences between us, and we won’t entertain such discussions."
Regarding the visit of Congress General Secretary for Karnataka, Randeep Singh Surjewala, CM Siddaramaiah indicated that Surjewala will collect opinions and execute his responsibilities accordingly.
Surjewala oversees the Karnataka Congress unit. He will arrive, converse with the MLAs, and inquire about the party's organizational matters. "He is in charge, and he will perform his duties as expected," the CM stated.
In response to the BJP's claims that Siddaramaiah will not be in power to inaugurate this year’s Dasara festivities, the Chief Minister remarked that the BJP is limitless in its falsehoods. He challenged how BJP leader B. Sriramulu—who lost both the Lok Sabha and assembly elections—could predict the future.
