Ambala, March 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, inaugurated a dedicated train for pilgrims journeying from Ambala to Ayodhya on Saturday.
In addition, he revealed plans for another special train to be launched in the last week of April, aimed at transporting devotees to the revered Sri Hazur Sahib Gurdwara located in Nanded, Maharashtra.
While addressing the gathered pilgrims, the Chief Minister remarked, “Today marks a significant and emotional occasion for the people of Haryana.” He expressed pride in flagging off this pilgrimage train from a land rich in significance linked to Lord Krishna to the birthplace of Lord Ram at Ayodhya Dham.
He extended his congratulations to the pilgrims, stating that the magnificent, newly constructed temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya is a point of national pride. “The consecration of Shri Ram Lalla stands as a testament to the collective good deeds, granting everyone the chance to visit this temple,” he added.
CM Saini emphasized that the pilgrimage to Ayodhya transcends mere physical travel, indicating it as a journey of spiritual awakening. “Standing on the banks of the Saryu River, visiting Hanumangarhi, and entering the grand Ram Temple will allow pilgrims to feel the energy that once established India as a Vishwa Guru,” he said.
He mentioned that the state government has forged a partnership with the Railways to facilitate pilgrimage travel. Through this initiative, approximately 700 senior citizens from seven districts are being sent on this inaugural train. Comprehensive arrangements for food and security have been set in place to ensure a pleasant journey.
Additionally, he expressed gratitude towards Railway officials for their efforts in making special provisions so that the devotees experience no difficulties.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that senior citizens and economically disadvantaged devotees are not hindered from embarking on pilgrimages due to financial limitations.
To support this goal, the government has initiated the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana’, and today’s train service exemplifies that commitment and trust.
He also noted that previously, pilgrims from Kaithal, Karnal, Ambala, and Jind had been facilitated to visit Ayodhya via bus services.
