Chennai, May 13 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu achieved a remarkable pass percentage of 98.48% in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations for 2025, showing a slight decline from last year's 98.74%.
The Central Board of Secondary Education revealed the results on Tuesday, with the national average recorded at 88.39%.
This year, 80,218 students from the state sat for the exams, comprising 42,904 boys and 37,314 girls.
Once again, girls outshone boys, achieving a pass percentage of 98.99%, while boys recorded 98.03%.
The Chennai region, which includes Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, boasted a cumulative pass rate of 97.39%, ranking third nationwide, following Trivandrum and Vijayawada.
In the previous year, the Chennai region had a pass percentage of 98.47%, indicating a slight drop.
