Hyderabad, Dec 3 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, has mandated decisive measures against stray dogs following a horrific incident where a seven-year-old boy, who is speech-impaired, suffered severe injuries from an attack by a pack of these animals in Hyderabad.

While in Delhi, the Chief Minister responded to the distressing event that unfolded on Tuesday in Hayathnagar.

Premchand, the young boy, was grievously harmed during the attack by the street dogs.

As per reports from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Revanth Reddy expressed deep concern upon learning of the incident.

He reached out to CMO officials, directing them to ensure the child receives exceptional medical care and expressed his hopes for the child's swift recovery.

The Chief Minister instructed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner to provide immediate support to the child, visit him in the hospital, meet with his family, and take government actions to assist them.

Additionally, he called for prompt measures to manage the stray dog population, emphasizing that such incidents should never occur again.

The boy suffered severe injuries during the attack in Sivaganga Colony of the Mansoorabad division.

While playing outside, he was attacked by the dogs, and due to his impairment, he could not call for help, remaining unnoticed until a passerby intervened.

The injuries affected various parts of his body, with a portion of his ear torn off. He was subsequently admitted to a hospital where surgery may be necessary.

The boy's family, originally from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, has been residing in a rented accommodation in the area for the past three years. His father is employed as a construction worker.

This shocking incident has sparked public outrage. Corporator Koppula Narasimha Reddy, who represents Mansoorabad, criticized the GHMC for its failure to address issues related to stray dogs and garbage accumulation.
