Kyiv, Oct 20 (NationPress) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Monday conveyed heartfelt greetings for Diwali, expressing the hope that light will always triumph.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sends warm wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali – a festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil and optimism over despair. May light always prevail," the ministry shared on X.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Embassy in India also shared greetings for Diwali. In a post on X, the embassy noted, "Shubh Deepawali. May Light Prevail."
Diwali represents the spiritual victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. This year, it is celebrated with great enthusiasm worldwide, showcasing India's rich cultural heritage and conveying a universal message of unity and harmony.
On this occasion, several diplomatic missions, including those from Finland, Israel, and Switzerland, also shared their wishes for Diwali.
The Finnish Embassy in India celebrated the festival with a quiz, lunch, and dance. While sharing their Diwali wishes, they posted a video of their mission officials enjoying lively music.
"Happy Diwali from Team Finland in India! Our team celebrated the occasion with a festive quiz, a delightful lunch, and some energetic dance moves — a fantastic moment of togetherness as Finnish diplomats and local colleagues celebrated side by side," the embassy posted on X.
Officials from the Israeli Embassy went shopping for Diwali decorations and were seen buying flowers and lamps. They also created rangoli at the embassy and shared Diwali wishes.
"This Diwali, our diplomats went Diya and Decor shopping! May our homes be filled with love and light, today and every day! Happy Diwali," the Israeli Embassy wrote in a post on X.
In response to the post, Israel Embassy spokesperson Guy Nir mentioned that he had a wonderful time celebrating Diwali, which included delightful food, sweets, dancing, and laughter.
"I had a great time celebrating #Diwali last week. It was heartwarming to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, experiencing the joy and spirit of this beautiful celebration. From delicious sweets and amazing food to vibrant lights, energetic dance, and endless laughter, every moment was a celebration of friendship and unity. The Swiss Embassy in India also joined the celebration in New Delhi and extended greetings to everyone. They shared a photo with the rangoli while wishing the public.
"The Embassy of Switzerland in India and Bhutan wishes everyone a very Happy Diwali! May this festival of lights bring warmth, happiness, and prosperity to all," they posted on X.
