New Delhi, Sep 30 (NationPress) Model and actress Urvashi Rautela visited the Enforcement Directorate (ED) headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday as part of the investigation into the online betting App case.

ED officials indicated that Rautela is currently being questioned regarding her involvement in the 1xBet App case.

This case involves the illegal betting platform 1xBet, which has seen numerous actresses and cricketers interrogated by the ED.

Earlier this month, the ED had issued a summons to Urvashi Rautela.

It is important to mention that former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also underwent questioning by the ED this month concerning alleged money laundering linked to an “unauthorized” gaming App that he has endorsed.

The probe agency summoned Dhawan to clarify details regarding his advertising contract with the 1xBet App, an official noted.

Dhawan reportedly endured hours of questioning after arriving at the ED office around 11 A.M. in New Delhi.

Additionally, former cricketer Suresh Raina was also recently interrogated by the ED in relation to the 1xBet case.

Shikhar Dhawan, who leads the South Delhi Superstarz team in the Delhi Premier League, retired from all forms of cricket in August last year after a decade-long career.

The 1xBet India website claims to provide a variety of sports betting options for its registered users.

It features games like Aviator Game Online, cricket betting lines, and online casino slots, accepting bets via Telegram payments on events like football, basketball, cricket, tennis, and e-sports.

The company behind the App is based in Cyprus and is recognized as one of the largest online casinos, also noted for sponsoring football teams in Spain and France.

Due to investigations into alleged financial misconduct, the company was compelled to halt services in the UK, US, Russia, Spain, and France.

The controversy surrounding Dhawan's connection to an illegal App closely follows last year’s issues raised by the Mahadev Satta App, which involved celebrities like actors Ranbir Kapoor, Boman Irani, Hina Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor.

The ED initiated an investigation into the App after a lavish event held by one of the gambling platform's founders in the UAE. This investigation also unveiled a ₹5,000 crore hawala racket operating in the UAE and Pakistan.

Last month, the Indian Parliament enacted the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, aimed at regulating the online gaming and e-sports sector while prohibiting all money-related online games.

Government statistics indicate that 1,524 orders banning gambling platforms were issued between 2022 and June 2025.
