Sanaa, April 27 (NationPress) Three Russian sailors sustained injuries when US forces executed airstrikes on a vessel docked at Yemen's Ras Isa oil port in the Hodeidah province along the Red Sea, as reported by the Houthi group.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Jamal Amer, the foreign minister of the unrecognized Houthi government in Sanaa, criticized the "US aggression" against a ship that was attempting to discharge its oil cargo at the port.

"The US airstrikes yesterday targeted a vessel anchored in Ras Isa port to obstruct its oil shipment, resulting in injuries to three Russian sailors," Amer remarked. "Our Coast Guard promptly intervened to rescue them and provide medical assistance."

Amer further stated that this incident contradicts US claims of targeting military installations and exposes the inaccuracies in US President Donald Trump's assertions that the airstrikes are focused on Sanaa's military capabilities.

Additionally, Houthi-controlled health authorities reported that at least eight individuals were injured on Saturday night when a US airstrike hit a residential house in Sanaa.

Among the injured were two children from the airstrike at a home in the Al-Rawda neighborhood of northern Sanaa, according to the authorities.

Reports from Houthi-operated al-Masirah TV indicated that over 20 US airstrikes occurred in Sanaa and the provinces of Saada, Marib, Hodeidah, and Al-Jawf throughout Saturday.

The airstrikes come on the heels of the Houthis claiming responsibility early Saturday for targeting three locations in Israel with a ballistic missile and two drones.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a projectile fired from Yemen triggered alarms in southern Israel, though they did not address the claimed drone attacks.

Also on Saturday, the Houthis announced a new drone attack on the USS Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea.

This attack against the aircraft carrier was described by the Houthis as retaliation for the ongoing US airstrikes against their positions. The US military has not yet commented on this incident.

Since mid-March, the United States has escalated airstrikes in Houthi-controlled regions in Yemen.

In response, the Houthis have conducted multiple assaults on US aircraft carriers and other naval vessels stationed in the Red Sea.
