Jaipur, Sep 26 (NationPress) Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become a symbol of comprehensive development, as evidenced by the increasing affection for the Vande Bharat Express, which the public has affectionately dubbed “Modi’s Train.”
PM Modi virtually inaugurated three new semi-high-speed trains, including the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt. Vande Bharat Express, the Bikaner–Delhi Vande Bharat Express, and the Udaipur–Chandigarh semi-high-speed train.
The event at Jodhpur Railway Station, attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Shekhawat, and other dignitaries, was celebrated as a milestone for Rajasthan’s connectivity.
Shekhawat mentioned that the Jodhpur–Delhi route via Jaipur will offer passengers a swift, comfortable, and state-of-the-art rail travel experience while simultaneously promoting tourism in Rajasthan’s Sun City.
He characterized the Vande Bharat as an emblem of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), as it is entirely produced domestically.
Shekhawat emphasized that the Vande Bharat Express will greatly enhance tourism in Jodhpur, improving connectivity with the national capital.
This train, operating from Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt via Jaipur, is crafted to deliver a modern, rapid, and comfortable travel experience that meets international standards.
He reiterated that the Vande Bharat is wholly made in India, highlighting the nation’s advancing technological prowess.
According to Shekhawat, the train serves not only as a mode of transport but also as a representation of Atmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing India’s progress toward becoming a developed, innovation-driven economy.
The Union Minister expressed his appreciation to Railway Minister Vaishnav, acknowledging that a commitment made to the people of Jodhpur has been realized.
He stated: “This train is not just a transport system but a manifestation of the people’s affection for Modi ji. That is why citizens proudly refer to it as Modi’s Train. This trust and confidence is Modi’s guarantee.”
The inauguration saw the presence of numerous dignitaries, such as Pali MP P.P. Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Rajendra Gehlot, Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi, Jodhpur City MLA Atul Bhansali, District President Rajendra Paliwal, DRM Anurag Tripathi, and various BJP officials, workers, and railway staff.
Adding a cultural element to the occasion, Shekhawat and Vaishnav launched the Pali Kulhad initiative at the railway station. Both leaders savored hot Kulhad tea and showcased digital payments, symbolizing the fusion of tradition and technology.
