Budapest, Sep 29 (NationPress) More than 100 runners, comprising volunteers and community organizations, took part in the Viksit Bharat Run in Hungary, symbolizing India’s remarkable transformation in infrastructure, healthcare, technology, education, and sustainability under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This event was organized by the Indian Embassy in Budapest in collaboration with MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at the Koltai Jeno Sportkozpont within Budapest's Hungarian University of Sports Science.

The Indian Embassy reported that this event, taking place in over 150 international locations, became a global celebration of service, fitness, and sustainability. In Budapest, participants included the Indian diaspora, local residents, students, professionals, and allies of India.

The run was part of the ‘Seva Parv’ observance from September 17 to October 2, during which the community in Budapest reaffirmed its dedication to PM Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat.

With the theme 'Run to Serve the Nation', participants from Budapest united for community runs of five kilometers, turning the event into a powerful expression of unity. Beyond a fitness initiative, the event celebrated the principles of Seva Bhav (spirit of service) and echoed PM Modi’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047, embodying India's Swadeshi ethos and a collective call for self-reliance, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.

A significant moment during the event was the group recitation of the Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge, with participants pledging to contribute to India’s aim of becoming a developed nation by 2047. This act bridged Hungary with Indians worldwide, aligning with PM Modi's vision of a Viksit Bharat and strengthening a common aspiration for growth, innovation, and global leadership.

The Viksit Bharat Run served as a platform for diaspora engagement and youth mobilization, with Indian Missions collaborating with community groups, cultural organizations, and local entities globally. It reinforced the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world is one family.

The run emerged as one of India's largest global outreach efforts, carrying a powerful message of unity, resilience, and shared responsibility, while showcasing India’s cultural and developmental advancements. It planted seeds of hope and service for a stronger, more inclusive India.
