New Delhi, Jan 24 (NationPress) In 2025, Apple experienced a remarkable year in India, with iPhone shipments increasing by 24 percent year-on-year (YoY), a significant rise compared to 2024, according to data released on Saturday.

As per insights from CyberMedia Research (CMR) obtained by IANS, the iPhone shipments in 2025 surpassed those of iPads, which only saw a modest growth of 2 percent.

Prabhu Ram, VP of Industry Research Group at CMR, stated, “Apple’s performance throughout 2025 in India showcases strong underlying demand dynamics.”

“iPads remained resilient, bolstered by new iPad launches, further emphasizing Apple’s dominance in both productivity and premium markets,” Ram continued.

The iPhone 16 series stood out as the most successful smartphone lineup of the year, accounting for 57 percent of total iPhone shipments, making it the best-performing model of the year.

The iPhone 15 series followed with a 24 percent share, while the newer iPhone 17 series captured 10 percent of the market.

Additionally, the iPhone 16e contributed 6 percent to the total shipments.

However, in Q4 2025, there was a slight 3 percent dip in iPhone shipments compared to Q4 2024.

During the same period, iPads experienced a significant 95 percent year-on-year growth, indicating that while iPhones led the market throughout the year, iPads gained strong momentum towards the end of 2025.

The dominance of the iPhone 16 series was also evident in Q4 2025, where it held a 50 percent market share, maintaining its leadership.

The iPhone 17 series gained traction in Q4 with a 24 percent share, while the iPhone 15 series accounted for 17 percent.

The iPhone 16e made up the remaining 8 percent, according to the data.
