New Delhi, Jan 17 (NationPress) On Friday, the iPhone manufacturer unveiled the Apple Store app in India, enabling customers to shop directly from the company while receiving personalised recommendations that enhance their shopping experience.
This app will assist Indians in exploring Apple’s cutting-edge range of products and services. Customers nationwide can download the app from the App Store.
The company inaugurated its first two retail locations in India in April 2023 in Delhi and Mumbai, with plans for additional Apple Store sites in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
“At Apple, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we are excited to launch the Apple Store app to engage even more users in India, strengthening our connections,” stated Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online.
“With the Apple Store app, customers will discover a new and seamless shopping experience for all our amazing products, receive personalised assistance, and truly enjoy the best of Apple,” Rasmussen added.
According to Counterpoint Research, Apple has entered the top 5 smartphone manufacturers in India for the first time, achieving nearly 10 percent market share by volume in the October-December quarter (Q4) of 2024.
The tech giant’s domestic production has skyrocketed by nearly 46 percent year-over-year, as per estimates. The Cupertino-based company manufactured/assembled $14 billion worth of iPhones in India last fiscal year (FY24), exporting over $10 billion worth of iPhones.
The Apple Store app will include several tabs designed to help customers shop for and explore Apple products further.
“The products tab will serve as a single destination for easily discovering the latest Apple products, accessories, and services, while providing insights into essential Retail programs like Apple Trade In and financing options,” it noted.
The ‘For You’ tab ensures a smooth shopping experience by providing customers with the most relevant information and recommendations, while also organising saved or favourite items for easy access.
The ‘Go Further’ tab connects customers to Apple’s knowledgeable Specialists for online Personal Setup sessions.
Shoppers can personalise their Mac with a more powerful chip, additional memory, or extra storage, and can engrave their AirPods, iPad, Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil (2nd generation), and Air Tag for free using a mix of emojis, names, initials, and numbers in a selection of eight languages.
“Soon, they will also be able to schedule a fun digital gift message, adding even more personalisation options,” Apple stated.
