New Delhi, Nov 25 (NationPress) - NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a branch of the National Payments Corporation of India, has unveiled an innovative feature named UPI Circle Full Delegation on the BHIM Payments App.
This function empowers users to designate trusted individuals—such as family members, children, employees, or dependents—to execute UPI transactions straight from their account, adhering to a predetermined monthly limit.
The primary goal is to simplify shared financial duties while ensuring complete control and transparency for the main account holder.
With Full Delegation, the primary user can grant permission to a secondary user for UPI payments without requiring real-time consent for each transaction.
They can establish a monthly limit of up to Rs 15,000 and decide on a validity duration of up to five years.
This enhancement streamlines everyday payments for households and small businesses, particularly when managing expenses for senior citizens, young adults, or those less familiar with digital platforms.
Moreover, this feature allows authorized users to conduct transactions without linking their own bank accounts, thereby making digital payments more accessible.
NBSL MD & CEO Lalitha Nataraj expressed that Full Delegation elevates UPI Circle by facilitating trusted and autonomous payments within specified limits.
She noted that this function mirrors the real-life dynamics of Indian families and businesses, which are built on trust and accountability, ensuring that the BHIM App remains a user-friendly, secure, and inclusive digital payment solution.
This feature will be especially advantageous for senior citizens who may be apprehensive about using digital payments, as well as for parents wanting to provide their children with controlled spending capabilities.
Small business owners will find it helpful to allow staff to cover daily operational costs like fuel or toll fees while retaining oversight.
Additionally, individuals who are not well-versed with digital systems can receive assistance from trusted contacts, making daily transactions easier and safer.
UPI Circle is available on the latest version of the BHIM Payments App (Version 4.0.10), which also introduces features like Split Expenses, Family Mode, Spend Analytics, multilingual options, and an enhanced user experience.
