This incident involved IndiGo flight 6E2111, which was set to travel from Lucknow to Delhi.

As a safety measure, the pilots decided to abort the take-off and returned the plane to the bay.

Witnesses described moments of anxiety as the plane accelerated before suddenly halting. Fortunately, all passengers disembarked without any injuries.
The airline subsequently arranged a replacement aircraft for the affected passengers.
This incident follows a previous event where another IndiGo flight, traveling from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, had to turn back shortly after take-off due to a mid-air technical issue.
The earlier flight, with over 180 passengers, landed safely, and a replacement was provided.
“A technical issue was identified on IndiGo flight 6E 1403 from Kochi to Abu Dhabi on September 6, 2025. The pilots opted to return, landing safely at Cochin International Airport,” said the airline in a statement.

Airport officials confirmed the pilots executed a precautionary emergency landing after detecting the technical issue. Passengers experienced a delay of nearly two hours before IndiGo organized an alternative aircraft.
