New Delhi, Sep 14 (NationPress) BJP leader and head of the party’s National Information and Technology Department, Amit Malviya, expressed support for the US decision to probe billionaire George Soros for allegedly inciting protests. He suggested that the Indian Opposition and their broader network might also face examination alongside those associated with the controversial financier.
Malviya criticized Opposition figures for reportedly mirroring Soros’ strategies and profiting from his funding sources. He stated in a post on X, “Initial indications imply that the investigation could encompass networks associated with foreign funding — including operatives linked to Soros in India.”
“If these claims are accurate, it could mean that prominent individuals within the Opposition and their extended network could be scrutinized. For the past 11 years, they have been instigating unrest in India — promoting division and threatening stability. If this investigation adheres to the facts, their disruptive campaign will ultimately crumble. Let the truth be revealed,” remarked Malviya.
The BJP leader also referenced a social media post indicating that President Donald Trump had announced an inquiry into billionaire George Soros and his family for potential racketeering related to protests amid national unrest.
This is not the first instance of Malviya attempting to associate Opposition leaders with Soros. Previously, in June, he accused Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi of utilizing George Soros' strategies to sow electoral disarray in India.
Malviya criticized Gandhi for casting doubt on the electoral process, stating, “It is not that Rahul Gandhi lacks understanding of how the electoral system operates. He is quite aware. However, his intention is not clarity but chaos.”
In a previous post on X, Malviya reiterated his allegations of a connection between Gandhi and George Soros, claiming that the Congress leader promotes conspiracy theories when facing electoral defeats.
“This aligns perfectly with George Soros' playbook — systematically undermine public trust in institutions to facilitate internal political gains,” asserted Malviya.
Referencing the Election Commission of India's counter to Gandhi's claims, Malviya stated, “India's democracy is resilient. Its institutions are robust. And the Indian electorate is discerning. No manipulation can alter that.”
Furthermore, Malviya criticized the Leader of the Opposition for being selective in acknowledging electoral outcomes.
