BJP Labels Rahul Gandhi a 'Traitor', Accuses Him of Collaborating with Foreign Entities to 'Destabilize India'

New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra on Thursday unleashed a fierce critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of collaborating with foreign entities to 'destabilize India' and branded him a 'traitor.'
Patra, while addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, claimed Gandhi is entangled in a 'dangerous triangle' involving US businessman George Soros and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
This statement followed BJP leaders expressing alarm in Parliament regarding alleged foreign interference, with Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey alleging Congress's involvement, and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi voicing serious concerns. These debates led to disruptions in both Houses.
Patra underscored information from the French newspaper Mediapart, labeling it 'extremely grave.'
He asserted that the 'dangerous triangle' compromising India's integrity encompasses Soros' Open Society Foundation, OCCRP, and Rahul Gandhi.
'George Soros, based in the US, funds OCCRP, a global media entity with approximately 50 partners worldwide. The third vertex, directly associated with India, is Rahul Gandhi,' Patra alleged.
He contended that OCCRP's investigative reports are swayed by Soros' financial backing.
'If 70 percent of an organization's funding originates from a single source, it cannot claim impartiality. OCCRP serves the interests of Soros and concealed US agencies aiming to disrupt nations,' Patra expressed, asserting that Rahul Gandhi's actions frequently mirror the narratives of OCCRP.
Patra referred to the July 2021 OCCRP report concerning Brazil's cancellation of a $324 million Covaxin order, asserting it aimed to damage India's reputation during the global vaccine distribution. He noted that despite the information being widely recognized, Rahul Gandhi only raised the topic subsequent to the OCCRP report.
'Rahul Gandhi adhered to this narrative, conducting a press conference criticizing the government. OCCRP dictates, and Rahul Gandhi complies,' Patra claimed.
The BJP leader accused OCCRP of targeting India's premier industrialists with fabricated reports to destabilize the economy, undermine investor confidence, and instigate regime change.
'These reports triggered fluctuations in the stock market and fostered opposition against the government,' Patra asserted, claiming the LoP amplified these accusations to create a distorted image of Indian industrialists.
He pointed to the Pegasus spyware controversy, alleging a recurring pattern of reports surfacing before Parliamentary sessions to disrupt proceedings.
'On July 18, 2021, OCCRP released the Pegasus report, and Rahul Gandhi convened a press conference the following day. Parliament was thrown into chaos. Ultimately, the Supreme Court dismissed the allegations in August 2022,' Patra highlighted.
Patra also mentioned OCCRP's defense of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case, asserting that the organization published articles targeting the Indian government to shield the Gandhis.
He spotlighted Rahul Gandhi's connections to individuals associated with Soros, including Salil Shetty, Vice President of the Open Society Foundation, who participated in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra.'
Patra showcased photographs of Rahul Gandhi with Shetty and other OCCRP-affiliated journalists. 'These connections reveal a coordinated agenda. It's two bodies, one soul,' he claimed.
The BJP spokesperson further criticized Rahul Gandhi's ties to Bangladeshi journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, known for publishing anti-India content, while mentioning other instances of his meetings with OCCRP-related figures.
Patra alleged that the LoP's ultimate ambition is to obstruct India's industrial advancement and economic stability.
'The Gandhi family has demonstrated they would compromise the nation if it meant gaining power,' he asserted, reiterating allegations of foreign collusion against the Congress leader.
