BJP Accuses Congress of Foreign Influence Ahead of Parliament Sessions, Claims Dinesh Sharma

New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) The BJP on Thursday leveled grave accusations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he is in league with foreign entities and investigative media organizations purportedly aiming to destabilize India.

The party referenced a report from the French media outlet Mediapart, which indicated the involvement of figures like billionaire George Soros, US-based institutions, and the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) as part of a "perilous triangle" designed to incite instability within the nation. The BJP unequivocally connected the Congress leader to these activities.

BJP representatives assert that prior to every session of Parliament, foreign influences introduce topics that the opposition leverages to create turmoil in the House, disrupting its smooth operation. In a conversation with IANS on Thursday, Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma and Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar shared their perspectives on the issue.

Dinesh Sharma remarked: "This is regrettable. Certain opposition parties show empathy towards those who instigate instability. As a Parliament session approaches, a significant incident is orchestrated to raise topics that foster instability in the country. These matters arise before the session, and once it concludes, the discussions cease. Such occurrences originate from overseas and are then disseminated within our nation. The opposition stirs up commotion in Parliament regarding these issues. Since they cannot rally crowds on the streets, they resort to doing so within the House. This behavior needs to be curtailed."

In response to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's comments linking current events in Sambhal and Bangladesh to actions taken by Babur 500 years ago, Sharma clarified, "This statement does not pertain to the citizens of Sambhal. We hold them in high regard. However, there are individuals who have infiltrated and are using bullets from America and Pakistan. In footage, they are seen openly firing guns. These people possess a terrorist mentality."

Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar added, "Congress created chaos regarding Covid. The issues discussed internationally are brought forth by the opposition in the House. Their intention is to obstruct India’s progress. The Opposition seeks to advance with a regressive mindset, advocating for paper ballots over EVMs."

Attacking the government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, he stated: "Mamata Banerjee has suspended the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and has prevented its execution. Now, she claims that new individuals should be welcomed. She is unable to manage the residents of West Bengal. She should first clarify her position. She understands that a majority of Hindus in West Bengal are casting their votes for the BJP rather than her, which is why she is making such remarks to appeal to them. The public should remain wary of her."
