BJP's Jitender Gothwal Criticizes Congress for 'Anti-India Activities' Overseas

Jaipur, Dec 5 (NationPress) BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi brought attention to a report from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) during the Rajya Sabha session on Thursday. He mentioned that whenever Parliament is in session, foreign reports appear aimed at damaging the country's reputation.

Following Trivedi's remarks, political discourse escalated.

Rajasthan BJP's State General Secretary and MLA Jitender Gothwal stated: "For the past decade, the opposition, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi, has adopted a strategy of criticizing India during their international visits."

He added: "Before each Parliament session, external forces seeking to undermine our nation, alongside the Congress and its affiliates, introduce anti-India narratives to tarnish India's image. Rahul Gandhi himself attempts to damage the country's standing while abroad, aiming to undermine the credibility of the parties allied with the BJP."

MLA Gothwal further expressed: "As Parliament sessions approach, various issues are distorted. Currently, Congress leaders are promoting their agenda to discredit the Indian economy and its industrialists. Nevertheless, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, their efforts will be futile. I am confident that India is advancing rapidly on the global stage and is revealing the truth about the Congress party to the public."

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which positions itself as an independent organization combating organized crime and corruption, suffered a severe blow to its reputation following an exposé by the renowned French newspaper Mediapart.

This report unveiled the funding sources of the network and its overt attempts to target and undermine foreign governments to serve its own interests and those of its backers. After allegations surfaced regarding OCCRP's connections to the US Department of State, USAID, and investors like George Soros, the organization faced considerable backlash from both the Indian government and the BJP.
