New Delhi, Feb 24 (NationPress) BJP Lok Sabha member Anurag Thakur on Tuesday launched a fierce critique against the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, claiming that he and the Congress party are acting under the influence of "anti-national and foreign elements".

This outburst followed a recent protest by Youth Congress members at New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam during the prestigious India AI Impact Summit, which drew participation from prominent industry figures and policymakers.

During the protests, demonstrators voiced their grievances against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government regarding issues such as perceived unemployment, inflation, and the proposed India-US trade agreement.

In reaction to the demonstration, Thakur accused Gandhi of damaging India's reputation.

“Rahul Gandhi has turned into a mouthpiece for anti-national forces. He follows an anti-India agenda, fosters negative politics, and seeks to instigate chaos. His primary roles seem to be spreading lies, instilling fear and confusion, tarnishing India’s image, criticizing PM Modi, engaging in anti-national activities, and undermining the nation’s progress on a global scale,” he told reporters.

He further claimed that Gandhi consistently diminishes India’s economic successes.

“When India’s economy is among the fastest-growing, he labels it a dying economy. At the India AI Summit, which has received global acclaim, he embarrassingly performed indecent dances, thereby exhibiting inappropriate behavior,” Thakur stated.

Intensifying his critique, the BJP leader questioned whether Gandhi’s political maneuvers were being orchestrated from outside the country.

“Is Rahul Gandhi’s political stance being dictated by foreign nations? Is the Congress Party following an agenda set by outsiders? Are they now acting under the influence of Uncle Sam and George Soros? Is the Congress Party siding with India's adversaries?” he posed.

Thakur also referenced the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation while directing his criticism at the Congress Party.

“Soliciting donations for the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation while praising China reflects the current state of the Congress... He (Rahul Gandhi) is the subject of global ridicule. Is he the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha or the Leader of Opposing India?” he queried.

The BJP MP recalled the Lok Sabha session on February 4, charging that Congress members disrupted proceedings by chanting slogans and gathering around the Prime Minister’s seat.

“Deploying women MPs to Parliament to surround Prime Minister Modi’s seat; what type of politics is Rahul Gandhi involved in?” he asked.

Continuing his assault, Thakur accused Gandhi of damaging India’s global image.

“Making defamatory statements about India on international platforms, consistently lying, indulging in unfounded politics, and spreading misinformation is his routine. Rahul Gandhi is making every effort to sow chaos, rumors, and riots. He aims to disrupt India’s rapidly advancing economy. His modus operandi revolves around perpetuating lies and unsubstantiated politics,” he remarked.

Thakur asserted that what he termed Gandhi’s “anti-India propaganda” has not succeeded and will continue to fail.

“Opposing the BJP and PM Modi, and now opposing India itself, has become Rahul Gandhi’s agenda. His antagonism towards India’s constitutional institutions, disdain for Indian citizens, and hostility towards the nation itself — this constitutes Rahul Gandhi’s agenda. He must apologize to the country,” he stated.

“Engaging in deceitful and negative politics has become a routine for Rahul Gandhi. Who are those drafting press releases and providing statements for him, and what are their ideologies? Today, the nation has discerned the agenda behind the Congress,” Thakur added.
