New Delhi, July 28 (NationPress) BJP MP Anurag Thakur unleashed a fierce critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a Lok Sabha session on Monday, accusing him of persistently undermining India, its armed forces, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Thakur labeled Gandhi the “Leader of Opposing Bharat”, targeting Gandhi’s ongoing criticism of the nation and its institutions.
“The leader you refer to has been denied the necessary votes by the people of India to even secure the position of Leader of the Opposition. After a brief tenure, he’s now transitioned from LoP to LoB - Leader of Opposing Bharat,” Thakur commented.
He intensified his remarks by accusing Gandhi of spreading anti-India sentiments.
“Rahul Gandhi has become the face of Pakistan’s propaganda. It appears Congress leaders are in a contest to sound more like spokespeople for Islamabad,” he stated.
Thakur did not shy away from coining controversial terms for the Congress party.
“Today’s Congress is not the Indian National Congress - it resembles the Islamabad National Congress. Their statements seem like recycled narratives from Pakistan’s propaganda machine,” he charged.
Referencing Rahul Gandhi’s alleged reaction to Operation Sindoor - India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack - Thakur claimed Gandhi showed little regard for the military's achievements.
“He seemed more interested in the number of Indian jets lost rather than how many terrorists were neutralized. That speaks volumes,” he emphasized.
The BJP leader also recalled previous instances where the Congress allegedly disrespected the armed forces.
“This is the same party that referred to the Army Chief as a ‘sadak ka gunda’. During Operation Sindoor, they were busy disseminating hate-filled cartoons mocking our forces and the Prime Minister,” Thakur claimed.
Describing the party as a “Rahul-Occupied Congress”, he asserted it would be remembered for “betrayal and deceit” during a crucial period of national security. He also accused the Opposition of neglecting the horrifying details surrounding the Pahalgam attack.
“Not once did they acknowledge that the terrorists identified the religion of the tourists before executing them in cold blood,” he stated.
Thakur further emphasized the significance of Operation Sindoor, asserting that the Indian armed forces inflicted substantial damage on Pakistan’s military capabilities.
“Ask Pakistan how devastating our response was - Rahim Khan Airbase remains non-functional, even two months later,” he stated in the House.
Thakur concluded: “Ab Bharat dossier nahi, dose dega” - India will no longer issue dossiers; it will deliver decisive blows.
