Nadda: LoP in LS Tool for Foreign Powers, Fostering National Instability

New Delhi, Dec 10 (NationPress) J.P. Nadda, the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha and Union Minister, claimed on Tuesday that Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is functioning as a tool for foreign entities, thereby contributing to the instability of the nation.
The BJP has heightened its offensive against the Congress party, particularly the Gandhi family, regarding purported connections with an organization allegedly financed by the George Soros Foundation. This foundation has been accused of supporting narratives that challenge India's sovereignty, including calls for the independence of Kashmir.
While addressing the Rajya Sabha, Nadda mentioned an entity known as the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which he asserted aims to destabilize and undermine the sovereignty of several nations, including India.
Although he did not directly name Rahul Gandhi, he remarked, "It is alarming that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha has voiced concerns based on reports from this organization. This demonstrates that by acting as a tool of foreign powers, they are fostering instability in the country."
Nadda also pointed to the Forum for Democratic Leaders in Asia-Pacific (FDL-AP), alleging that it questions India's sovereignty and designates Jammu and Kashmir as a distinct state.
He stated, "A senior-most Congress leader co-chairing such an organization poses a significant threat to both the internal and external security of the nation."
Discussing its funding sources, Nadda remarked, "This organization is financed by George Soros. I seek to understand the link between Soros and the Congress party."
He cautioned against permitting external meddling, asserting, "History indicates that nations permitting attacks on their sovereignty have faced dire consequences. We owe it to the everyday citizen, the impoverished villager, who inquires whether we are committed to the security of our country. I assure them that the BJP is steadfast in its dedication to protecting India's sovereignty."
As chaos erupted in the House, Nadda also praised India's economic advancements, stating, "Today, we have ascended from the eleventh to the fifth position in the global economic standings. Despite all these conspiracies, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are on course to become the third-largest economic power."
He reassured the populace that India will continue to progress securely under PM Modi's guidance, dismissing efforts to sabotage the country's growth and stability.
This discussion led to considerable turmoil in the Rajya Sabha, resulting in the adjournment of House proceedings until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
The BJP's allegations arise amid escalating political tensions during the Winter Session of Parliament, with discussions on national security and worries over alleged foreign influence dominating the debates.
