New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) Emotions ran high as Union Cabinet members expressed their heartfelt condolences on Monday in response to the passing of legendary actor Dharmendra, affectionately known as Indian cinema’s cherished "He-Man." Leaders characterized his departure as a significant loss, signifying the closure of an era marked by warmth, simplicity, and timeless performances.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal reflected that Dharmendra’s passing represents not just the loss of a revered actor but rather “the conclusion of an era that reshaped simplicity, emotion, and intimacy on screen.”

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also expressed his sorrow, reminiscing about how Dharmendra’s dynamic personality and captivating screen presence left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.

“A stylish, suave, and immensely talented actor who captivated audiences for decades through his enchanting performances and magnetic presence, Dharmendra Ji will forever be remembered as a humble, approachable, and kind-hearted individual who dominated hearts and screens like a colossus,” Puri stated on X.

“As someone who cherished watching the many iconic films of this proud son of Punjab and a former BJP parliamentarian from Bikaner, I stand with countless fans and admirers in mourning his loss. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. Om Shanti!,” the minister added.

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal remarked that Dharmendra’s passing signifies a profound loss for both Indian cinema and the broader public life.

Sonowal highlighted the actor’s versatility, stating that Dharmendra brought to life numerous unforgettable personas—from romance to action—thus contributing to the evolution of a new cinematic identity for India.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dharmendra Ji. It is a monumental loss for Indian cinema and public life,” Sonowal expressed.

“From action to romance and timeless classics, he redefined Indian cinema through the myriad of characters he portrayed on the silver screen.
