Seoul, March 31 (NationPress) Hyundai Motor announced on Monday its intention to kick off a global recruitment initiative this week aimed at attracting elite international talent in various engineering disciplines.
The initiative will focus on recruiting overseas engineering Ph.D. candidates, in addition to offering an internship program for foreign university students studying in South Korea, along with a separate initiative for international bachelor's and master's degree holders, starting Tuesday.
The recruitment initiative for overseas Ph.D. candidates is set to welcome applicants who possess or are expected to obtain a doctoral degree in engineering fields by August 2026, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
Major research focus areas encompass artificial intelligence and data, battery technology, hydrogen fuel cells, smart factory systems, robotics, advanced air mobility (AAM), and cybersecurity.
Application screening will take place in May, followed by interviews in June. Successful candidates will be invited to Hyundai's Namyang Research & Development Center in South Korea for a final interview process.
The internship programs will feature five weeks of training in July and August, with top performers potentially receiving full-time job offers. Applications will be accessible via the company’s official recruitment website (talent.hyundai.com).

In related news, over half of South Korea's top 100 companies offered their employees an average annual salary exceeding 100 million won ($67,981) in 2024, according to industry data released on Monday.
An analysis by Yonhap News Agency of recent business reports from the 100 largest non-financial firms by sales revealed that 55 companies recorded an average annual employee salary above 100 million won last year.
This figure represents a sixfold increase compared to nine firms in 2019.
All of the top 10 companies by sales were part of the so-called 100 million-won salary club.
Samsung Electronics reported an average salary of 130 million won, followed by Hyundai Motor Co. at 124 million won, SK Inc. at 116 million won, Kia Corp. at 136 million won, and LG Electronics Inc. at 117 million won.
Other companies with high salaries included SK Innovation Co. at 158 million won, POSCO Holdings Co. at 148 million won, and SK hynix Inc. at 117 million won.
