New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) Various sectors in India are exhibiting robust hiring activity for the initial half of 2025, with intentions to recruit freshers climbing to 74 percent, as per a report released on Thursday.
The total hiring intent across all fields is at 79 percent, with key sectors like IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, marketing and advertising, and logistics fueling this growth, according to TeamLease EdTech’s ‘Career Outlook Report HY1 2025’.
Moreover, hiring interest in e-commerce and tech startups rose from 61 percent to 70 percent, while manufacturing and engineering increased from 52 percent to 66 percent, and infrastructure reached 62 percent, up from 59 percent.
The IT sector has notably bounced back, with entry-level hiring intentions escalating to 59 percent, a rise from 45 percent in HY2 2024, the report highlighted.
Emerging career paths in deep-tech include positions such as Clinical Bioinformatics Associate, Robotics System Engineer, Sustainability Analyst, Prompt Engineer, AI & Machine Learning Engineer, Cloud Engineer, and Cybersecurity Analyst.
Organizations are particularly on the lookout for candidates proficient in Robotic Process Automation, Performance Marketing, Network Security, and Financial Risk Analysis to meet modern business challenges.
Beyond technical skills, employers are placing significant importance on soft skills such as computational thinking, interpersonal abilities, analytical reasoning, and adaptability for entry-level roles, according to the report.
The geographical distribution of job opportunities continues to favor Bengaluru (78 percent), Mumbai (65 percent), Delhi NCR (61 percent), and Chennai (57 percent) as prime employment hubs for recent graduates.
