During an interview with IANS at an awareness event in Sirmaur, Himachal Chamber of Commerce President Satish Goyal highlighted the comprehensive information shared about how entrepreneurs can initiate and grow their ventures under MSME schemes.
He mentioned that the event also provided guidance for young individuals aspiring to start new self-employment opportunities with the backing of MSME programs.
Goyal referred to the MSME initiative as a vital scheme of the central government, noting that an increasing number of individuals are stepping forward to take advantage of its offerings.
MSME IDS Officer Ashok Kumar Gautam stated that awareness campaigns are being conducted throughout Himachal Pradesh to promote MSME schemes.
He mentioned a national seminar held in the industrial zone of Gondpur in Paonta Sahib aimed at advancing the MSME Public Procurement and Market Support Scheme.
Gautam also pointed out the presence of bank officials, IIT Roorkee experts, representatives from the Industries Department, and officers from the National SC-ST Hub, all of whom shared valuable insights with the attendees.
He further explained that product marketing continues to pose a significant challenge for MSMEs; therefore, the program focused on educating attendees about market access and public procurement prospects, enabling small businesses to sell their products more efficiently.
"Marketing products continues to be a major hurdle for MSMEs, and the program aimed to inform participants about market access and public procurement opportunities to enhance their sales capabilities," Gautam elaborated.
