New Delhi, March 5 (NationPress) The foundation of India’s approach to tech governance is built on innovation, inclusivity, sustainability, and trust, stated Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, during his address at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain.
After engaging with leading CEOs, the minister participated in pivotal sessions and observed significant technological advancements at one of the largest events in the mobile and telecommunications sector.
He spoke on critical topics such as ‘Global Tech Governance: Rising to the Challenge’ and ‘Balancing Innovation & Regulation: Global Perspectives on Telecom Policy’.
Scindia emphasized the achievements of Aadhaar and BharatNet in benefiting every citizen.
He outlined four strategies for aligning innovation with regulation: effective spectrum management; maintaining market stability; streamlining telecom regulations; and implementing cybersecurity measures for consumer safety.
At ‘MWC 2025’, Scindia also launched the India Mobile Congress 2025 and opened the Bharat Pavilion, organized by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications, showcasing 38 Indian telecom manufacturers and their advanced products.
“As we strive for Atmanirbharta, the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) will be pivotal in driving innovation, progress, and opportunities within the telecom and digital landscape,” the minister stated.
Additionally, he unveiled VVDN’s locally designed and produced AI-based Wi-Fi-7 at the Bharat Pavilion.
Scindia explored various booths, including those of Meta and Google Cloud, observing their diverse technological offerings.
The minister's visit included interactions with industry leaders from Qualcomm, Cisco, Mavenir, Ericsson, Nokia, AMD, AT&T, Airtel, BSNL, CDOT, and TEPC.
This event highlighted India’s transformation in telecommunications at Mobile World Congress 2025, showcasing Bharat’s swift 5G rollout, the world’s lowest data prices, indigenous 4G/5G stacks, and strong cybersecurity initiatives.
