Seoul, Jan 2 (NationPress) The co-CEOs of Samsung Electronics announced their commitment to enhance the company's artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities as competition in the sector intensifies worldwide.
Jun Young-hyun, Samsung Electronics' Vice Chairman and CEO, emphasized the necessity of addressing the unprecedented demand for AI chips during their New Year's communications, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
"Samsung Electronics uniquely stands as the only chip producer globally providing a comprehensive solution that includes logic chips, memory, foundry services, and advanced packaging," Jun stated, stressing the need to leverage these advantages.
"By utilizing cutting-edge AI technology and premium data, we aim to create AI solutions specifically tailored for semiconductors," he continued. "These solutions must be integrated into design, research and development, production, and quality control to foster innovation in chip technology."
Jun pointed out that Samsung's HBM4 business has shown remarkable competitiveness in the market, urging staff to continually enhance the company's technological expertise to navigate external challenges.
President Roh Tae-moon, another co-CEO who manages the device experience (DX) division responsible for mobile, TV, and home appliance sectors, reiterated the necessity of incorporating AI technology across all Samsung products.
