Hyderabad, Nov 25 (NationPress) Actor Naveen Polishetty, who stars alongside Meenakshi Chaudhary in the upcoming romantic comedy directed by Maari, titled 'Anaganaga Oka Raju', has ventured into singing by performing the film's single, 'Bhimavaram Balma'.
On Tuesday, Naveen took to his X timeline to share a humorous video clip announcing this news. He wrote, "ANAGANAGA OKA SINGER Jaanejigars. The first song from #AnaganagaOkaRaju will be out on Nov 27th. Get ready with your dance moves for the Sankranthi festival. It’s time for #BhimavaramBalma. @MickeyJMeyer blast @Meenakshiioffl @vamsi84 @SitharaEnts."
At the video’s conclusion, the production team revealed, "For the first time, Naveen Polishetty will be featured as a playback singer. The first song, 'Bhimavaram Balma', releases on November 27."
This film is slated to premiere on January 14 next year during the Sankranthi festival.
Since its announcement in January 2022, the movie has generated considerable buzz. The title was introduced through a teaser, which also showcased the initial look of Naveen Polishetty, indicating a full-on comedy.
Naveen portrays a character named Raju, an arrogant and self-important groom preparing for his wedding.
Fans have been keenly waiting for the film's release, despite several changes in the production team along the way.
Last December, the creators released a comedic teaser termed a 'Pre-wedding video' on the occasion of Naveen Polishetty's birthday. This clip featured wedding guests ready to indulge in food served on golden plates. Just as a guest reaches for a sweet Kaju Kathili, a supervisor snatches it away, insisting that everything at Raju's wedding must be golden. The humor escalates as Raju pretends to converse with industrialist Mukesh Ambani regarding his son's wedding.
Initially, the teaser hinted at a release in 2025, which has since been rescheduled to January 14, 2026.
Directed by Maari, the film's cinematography is handled by J Yuvraj and the music is composed by Mickey J Meyer. It is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
