Adarsh Gourav is set to reprise his role in the international sci-fi franchise Alien: Earth, with filming for Season 2 commencing in June 2025. The BAFTA-nominated actor departed for an international schedule in the first week of June, marking his return to one of streaming's most anticipated sci-fi productions.

Gourav on Returning to the Franchise

Gourav, who plays the character 'Slightly', described the return as deeply personal. 'Coming back for Season 2 of Alien: Earth feels incredibly special. Slightly is a character who has stayed with me long after filming ended because of how emotionally complex and unpredictable he is,' he said.

He added that the opportunity to further explore the character in a world built by Noah Hawley and executive-produced by Ridley Scott is 'both exciting and deeply fulfilling as an actor.'

Season 2 will see Gourav share screen space with an acclaimed international ensemble comprising Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Timothy Olyphant, and Peter Dinklage. 'Working with actors like Peter Dinklage, Timothy Olyphant, and the entire ensemble pushes you creatively every single day,' Gourav said.

Gourav's Career Arc

Gourav trained in Hindustani classical music before transitioning fully into acting, beginning his career as a child artiste. He appeared in My Name Is Khan, playing a younger version of Shah Rukh Khan's character, before earning wider recognition through his portrayal of Balram Menon in the Prime Video series Made in Heaven.

His international breakthrough came with The White Tiger, in which he played lead character Balram Halwai. The performance earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama at the Golden Globe Awards — making him one of the few Indian actors to receive that recognition.
