Will Aditya Roy Kapur Connect Audiences with His Stories?

New Delhi, June 13 (NationPress) Aditya Roy Kapur, who is preparing for the premiere of “Metro…In Dino”, expresses his hope that viewers will emotionally resonate with the narratives of this forthcoming film and see reflections of their own experiences. The actor believes that if the audience connects with the film and enjoys it, this will naturally guide its success.

“Metro…In Dino” serves as a spiritual sequel to the acclaimed 2007 film “Life in a... Metro”, which unexpectedly turned into a box office triumph, earning over Rs. 245 million globally.

When questioned about his expectations for the new film, Aditya shared with IANS: “To be honest, every time you create a film, it’s with the hope that everyone appreciates and adores it. Thus, I strive not to dwell excessively on the outcome.”

“However, the aim is for the audience to connect with it.”

The actor remarked: “I believe the charm of this film lies in its ability to resonate with everyone through its stories. The tagline, ‘your own story,’ encapsulates this.”

Aditya, who stars alongside Sara Ali Khan, is confident that each viewer will find something relatable within one of the narratives.

“There will surely be something in one of the stories that you’ll connect with. I sincerely hope that the audience enjoys and connects with the film.”

He further stated: “Typically, when people connect with a film and appreciate it, it tends to succeed. And that would be fantastic, right? So, let’s hope for that.”

Reflecting on the original film, “Life in a... Metro” was directed by Anurag Basu and was partly inspired by Billy Wilder's romantic comedy The Apartment. It featured a remarkable ensemble cast, including Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi.

With “Metro…In Dino”, Anurag returns to conclude his hyperlinked trilogy, exploring the intricate and contemporary facets of relationships. This highly anticipated film promises to delve into themes of love, heartbreak, and human connection.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta.
