Mumbai, Aug 7 (NationPress) Akanksha Puri has unveiled a fresh music video titled “Ek Aasmaan Tha”. The actress expressed that the rough version of the song evoked a strong emotional response, giving her goosebumps and making it feel deeply personal.
In this new music video, Akanksha shares the screen with co-star Sanam Johar. The visual narrative delves into themes of connection, longing, and romantic tension.
“Initially, I had my doubts since I had never met or collaborated with Sanam before,” Akanksha remarked.
“However, he turned out to be a remarkably grounded artist. Our comfort level was immediate. It might surprise people to learn that we met for the first time during the shoot!” she further explained.
While Sanam is celebrated for his impressive dance abilities, this video emphasized the need for chemistry over choreography.
Akanksha stated: “This project wasn’t focused on dance steps—it was about aligning our emotions. It flowed effortlessly. I had previously collaborated with the same team for Barsatein Acchi Lagti Hai and had a fantastic experience.”
“When the team approached me with this poignant love track, I felt an instant connection. The rough version of the song truly moved me. It felt personal, raw—and that’s an exceptional quality,” she added.
For Akanksha, music videos serve as a vital creative outlet.
“They push you to explore your style and performance limits. The shoot is dynamic, vibrant, and offers incredible engagement. I always feel thrilled when I receive a song offer. It’s a refreshing change from long-format acting, allowing you to uncover a different facet of yourself,” she noted.
In 2013, Akanksha gained prominence when she landed a role in the Tamil action-comedy Alex Pandian, marking her film debut. She subsequently made her Hindi film debut with Madhur Bhandarkar's 2015 drama Calendar Girls. In 2017, she was cast as Mata AdiParashakti in the TV series Vighnaharta Ganesh. Additionally, she emerged as the winner of the show Swayamvar – Mika Di Vohti.
