Mumbai, June 8 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar recently adopted an innovative method to engage with fans by donning a ‘killer mask’ to directly gauge audience responses to his latest film, “Housefull 5.”
On Sunday, the ‘Airlift’ star took to Instagram, sharing a video where he can be seen wearing the ‘killer mask’ outside a cinema. In the footage, he converses with moviegoers, inquiring whether they enjoyed “Housefull 5.” Unbeknownst to them, the audience did not recognize the man behind the mask and openly expressed their thoughts. Many lauded the film, claiming they had a fantastic time with “Housefull 5,” oblivious to the fact that they were talking to its lead actor.
Accompanying the video, Kumar wrote, “Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience.”
In response to the video, one viewer commented, “Koi pehchan bhi nhi paa raha. Crazy paaji.” Another remarked, “Was waiting for him to take off the mask like Robert Downey Jr.”
Just days earlier, the ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ actor shared a nostalgic video from the “Housefull 5” sets. Reflecting on the past year, he noted it was filled with laughter, chaos, and unforgettable moments with his “mad bunch” of co-stars, including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Dino Morea. The actor has consistently provided behind-the-scenes insights from this comedy.
“Housefull 5” boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, this comedy-drama hit theaters on June 6. The 'Housefull' franchise began its journey in 2010 with the release of the first film, followed by a sequel in 2012, both directed by Sajid Khan. The third installment, directed by Sajid-Farhad, arrived in 2016, while the fourth film came out in 2019, directed by Farhad Samji.
