Mumbai, March 18 (NationPress) Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently shared his unique insights on food and culture during an episode of the reality game show "Wheel of Fortune".

During the show, a contestant recounted a date where they ordered Chicken Tangdi, but she opted to eat it using a fork and knife, which baffled her partner.

Curious about the host’s take, Akshay was asked how he would approach eating Chicken Tangdi. The 'Airlift' star revealed that although he abstains from non-vegetarian dishes, if he were to indulge in Chicken Tangdi, he would certainly prefer to eat it with his hands rather than utensils.

Haath se khane mein jo maza hain, woh metal jo hain, woh apne muh mein daalne se maza nahi aata, uska maza nikal jaata hain (The joy of eating with hands is lost when one uses metal utensils),” he humorously commented.

He elaborated further, explaining that proper handwashing before eating with one's hands elevates the whole dining experience, making the food taste even more delightful.

The 'Welcome' actor painted a vivid scene of enjoying a meal: mixing rice with curd and dal, followed by adding jeera aloo, some bhindi, and a touch of gobi, all blended together with his hands, savoring one bite for himself and feeding another to his fiancé.

In a previous episode, Akshay had also expressed his love for Gujarati cuisine, saying, “Woh jo life thi na, jo undhiyu, jo tuar ki daal, usme jo mazza hai na… humara Hindustani khana hai jo, Gujarati thali ka jo maza hai, edamame aur baaki kisi aur cheez mein nahi hai.”

The "Wheel of Fortune" show airs Monday to Friday at 09:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and can also be streamed on Sony LIV.
