Did Alan Cumming Accidentally Injure Pedro Pascal on the Set of 'Avengers: Doomsday'?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Jan 9 (NationPress) Actor-director Alan Cumming has disclosed that he unintentionally injured actor Pedro Pascal while filming 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
The 60-year-old star returned to his role as Nightcrawler in the 2026 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) blockbuster after a hiatus of over 20 years. Cumming revealed that he accidentally "broke" the Mr. Fantastic star during a scene, as reported by 'Female First UK'.
While guesting on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', the host inquired about what fans could anticipate from Nightcrawler in 'Avengers: Doomsday'. Cumming responded, "All of (the X-Men cast) are in it, too. What’s humorous is that in my first scene with Pedro, he hurt his neck and had to go home. I broke Pedro".
The host of The Traitors emphasized that the incident was not a result of a fight scene but rather a production error.
Cumming clarified, "No, I wasn’t fighting. No, no. I was just, sort of, being together in a scene, and I wasn’t fighting, no. He has these long arms and everything, so it’s quite complicated. I do have a tail, but I didn’t have my tail on at the time. Pedro didn’t have his arms on either".
According to 'Female First UK', 'Avengers: Doomsday' will feature the return of iconic X-Men figures like Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Channing Tatum, James Marsden, and Rebecca Romijn.
Confirmed to appear in the blockbuster are 'Avengers and Thunderbolts' stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, and Lewis Pullman.
It has also been announced that Chris Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers after last being seen as Captain America in 2019’s 'Avengers: Endgame'. 'Avengers: Doomsday', directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is set to release on December 18, 2026, and is expected to follow the Avengers, the New Avengers, and the X-Men as they unite to thwart Doctor Doom from executing his catastrophic plans for the Multiverse.
