Mumbai, April 11 (NationPress) Actress Alaya F has discussed how her immediate reaction to negative experiences is to inquire about what they are meant to teach her and what lessons she should learn.
Alaya shared, “As an actor, facing continuous rejection leads to different coping mechanisms. Not every rejection is processed in the same way. However, upon reflection, there’s always a valuable lesson to extract, always a reason behind what transpired.
The actress mentioned that she cannot recall a single unfortunate incident in her life without eventually uncovering a lesson within it.
Being the daughter of actress Pooja Bedi, Alaya added, “In fact, my initial reaction when something adverse occurs is to ask what it’s meant to teach me, what I need to learn from it, and the purpose behind it.”
“Perhaps it’s a protective defense mechanism, but I believe it’s a highly productive one—and it’s my default approach. I’ve also realized that several projects I missed out on or was replaced in later did not succeed. This reinforced my conviction that everything occurs for a reason.”
She continued, “Especially prior to my debut film (Jawaani Jaaneman), there were numerous projects I was eager to be part of. I believed that obtaining them would solidify my career. However, those films released, and they garnered little attention.”
“Jawaani Jaaneman” premiered in 2020. This comedy-drama, directed by Nitin Kakkar, is a remake of the 2010 Argentine comedy Igualita a mí. The film features Khan and newcomer Alaya in leading roles, revolving around Jazz, a property broker and party enthusiast in London, who must confront a daughter he never knew existed, who is also expecting.
“I realized that something was guiding me toward Jawaani Jaaneman, which was an unconventional choice. In hindsight, I believe I couldn’t have wished for a better debut film. Everything unfolded so beautifully that I began to trust that the universe had a grander plan for me.”
“Ultimately, things always resolve for the better. I’ve observed that when I’m emotionally thriving, I excel in every area of my life.”
