Actress Anishma Anilkumar's first look poster from the upcoming Tamil film 'Modha Rathiri' was unveiled on Saturday, 27 June, timed to coincide with her birthday. The poster was released by production house Mythri Movie Makers, marking the occasion with a teaser of her character in the film directed by debutant Raja Karuppasamy.

Sharing the poster across their social media channels, Mythri Movie Makers described Anishma's character as 'a simple girl who has a storm within,' offering the first glimpse into what appears to be a layered, emotionally charged role. Anishma plays the female lead opposite actor Rishikanth in the film. She previously drew attention for her performances in 'Sirai' and 'Youth', and this marks a significant step forward in her Tamil film career.

According to sources close to the production, 'Modha Rathiri' centres on an unusual wedding night where too many surprises unfold and several lies are told. What begins as a new chapter in life spirals into chaos — turning into a single night that changes everything. The premise blends intrigue with emotional stakes, suggesting a taut, single-night thriller format.

Producer Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers had earlier spoken about the project, saying: 'At Mythri Movie Makers, we have always been associated with large-scale entertainers. When director Raja Karuppasamy narrated the script of 'Modha Rathiri', we instantly felt it was the kind of engaging and unique story we wanted to bring to the screen.'

Notably, 'Modha Rathiri' is the third Tamil film to be produced by the prominent Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers, signalling a deliberate push into Tamil cinema. The film features an ensemble cast including Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Chetan, A. Venkatesh, Bucks, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Sangeetha Balan, Banupriya, Sumithra Devi L., Varshini Karmegham, Karthikeyan, Velan, and Kowshik Kabilan.

On the technical front, Surendran Paranjothi handles cinematography, Ashok Arjunan serves as editor, and Bharath Sankar composes the music. Poornima Ramaswamy is the costume designer and A Balumahendra serves as art director. With a debut director at the helm and a fresh ensemble cast, the film is shaping up as one of the more intriguing Tamil releases on the horizon.
