Mumbai, March 16 (NationPress) After initiating her North American Tour in Seattle, Sitar Player Anoushka Shankar introduced her latest work, 'Chapter III: We Return To Light', in collaboration with Alam Khan and Sarathy Korwar.
Discussing the album, Anoushka remarked, “Three chapters, three geographies - when I penned these words in my diary at a café in Goa on New Year’s Day two years ago, I envisioned a trilogy that would celebrate my journey across continents, cultures, and collaborations. Reflecting on it now, it feels incredible to see that vision realized. Chapter I in Berlin showcases my European heritage, Chapter II in California reestablishes my connection with a place I called home for over 15 years, and at the core of Chapter III lies India, the bedrock of my music and identity.”
Expressing her excitement about 'Chapter III: We Return To Light' with her fans, Anoushka wrote, “I can hardly believe it: ‘Chapter III: We Return To Light’ is finally yours. This journey has been one of the most creatively satisfying of my life. Three chapters, three geographies, and a profound desire to transform pain into light. Holding these three mini-albums now, alongside my wonderful collaborators @aroojaftab on ‘Chapter I’, @peteraeburn on ‘Chapter II’, and @alamsarode and @sarathykorwar on ‘Chapter III’, makes me feel electrified as I recognize that I’ve accomplished what I aimed for.”
She further stated, “Throughout these three chapters, I sought to navigate a journey from pain to healing, leading to a place of strength and empowerment, both for individuals and the collective. I sincerely hope it resonates with you.”
Moreover, Sitar Player Anoushka Shankar has recently celebrated 30 years of performing and delving into Indian classical music. Over the years, she has captivated audiences worldwide and is eager to continue this trajectory with her new collaboration.
