On this momentous occasion, Anshula honored her late mother, Mona Kapoor, by incorporating her cherished phrase, 'Rab Rakha', into her bridal choli, ensuring her spirit was felt during this significant life event.

After her engagement to long-time partner Rohan Thakkar, Anshula wanted to make her mother's presence palpable. The phrase 'Rab Rakha', often spoken by Mona to bless her children, was stitched onto Anshula's choli. In a heartfelt social media post, Anshula expressed, 'She always said Rab Rakha, so I've carried it with me in this new chapter, stitched gently on my back, tucked safely in my heart, a reminder that she's still here, still watching, still my forever protector, my Ma.' She extended her gratitude to Arpita Mehta for transforming those words into emotions woven into the fabric, representing a promise and a prayer, a piece of her mother accompanying her.

To provide context, Mona Kapoor, the first wife of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, passed away in March 2012 at the age of 48, succumbing to multiple organ failure after a long battle with cancer. Her passing was a profound loss for her children, Anshula and actor Arjun Kapoor, who was on the brink of his Bollywood debut with 'Ishaqzaade' at the time.

The siblings have recounted the challenges they faced during this time, reflecting on their mother’s strength and the adversities she encountered, particularly after her separation from Boney.

For her engagement, Anshula also honored her mother by placing a framed photo of Mona with her children on a chair, draped with one of her sarees and surrounded by flowers. This thoughtful arrangement symbolically represented their mother’s presence at the gathering. By weaving the words 'Rab Rakha' into her wedding ensemble, Anshula chose to carry her mother's blessings into this new chapter of her life.
